A Welcome to New Players
If you're new to our server, welcome! We like to think we have a rich, immersive server, but unfortunately that sometimes means it can be a bit overwhelming to get started. A page has been started on the wiki here with some new user hints and tips to help you jump right in. Other than that, here's the roadmap you should probably start with...
First, download the player's handbook and familiarize yourself with it. It contains the story of the various empires in the world, some essential backstory, some rules, and information about the various custom races and classes available on our server. While you're doing this, you probably should start downloading the required files and optional music files. They're rather large, and may take a bit of time (depending on server load and your connection), but that should give you enough time to get the information you need from the PHB.
Finally, you should head over to the forums and make an account. In the general chat forum, look for a sticky post named PASSWORD. That will give you the password you need to actually connect to the server. There are other important messages in the forums, so you should probably take some time glancing over at least the sticky and announcement posts. Be aware you will also be expected to post a writeup on the character you will be playing. You don't need to wait for approval to start, though (except for the races that specifically say you need to in the PHB).
This may seem like a lot of work, but it's really not that bad, and believe me when I say it's worth the effort! And, remember, the most important this is to HAVE FUN! |

The module is currently unavailable while we move over to a new server. I apologize that it is taking so long. I'll be updating the progress in the Arynwind General Chat forums so take a look there to see how it's progressing.

After an extended period of downtime due to the previous web host going belly up with no warning, we're finally back!
I do apologize for this taking so long. It took a while to figure out what was going on with the old host and get access to the files again. Good news is if I ever have to do this again, it should go much faster now that I know what I'm doing. Though I sincerely hope I'm not doing this again for a long time.
The new host has been quick to respond to tickets so that has been a pleasant change.

| Despite what's been posted in other places, Arynwind is not closed, is not closing, and has no intention of going anywhere. The rumor that it's been closed was started by someone who is not a member of the staff anymore, and can be safely disregarded.

It's not exactly new news, but the ArynWiki is now online. If you're not sure what a wiki is, there are links to explainations on the front page of it.
Also included is a page with key new user information that's worth taking a peek at.
